A copper screen that fastens to the front of the torch just in front of the nozzle is called a drag tip. In order to prevent the usual phenomena known as double arcing and allow you to drag your torch directly on the workpiece without it adhering, this shield electrically protects the nozzle from the metal work piece. A plasma cutter's drag tip simplifies cutting thin metals, particularly sheet metal, with control over speed and pattern drawing.
